Sean was just complaining to me that my blog is boring because I don't update it enough.
Here is your update sarcastic boy, and to everyone else who is not sarcastic.
I have been working a lot at Target.
I need a new "real" job.
If you want to know a little bit about nothing, you've come to the right place.

The much awaited apartment pictures.
Sorry these took so long. I wanted to take them after I cleaned the apartment, and I've been doing that on Sundays. So, now the apartment is cleaned and the pictures are taken. Sorry for the crappy quality of the pictures. I really just wanted to get them done.
The living room, well part of it.
View of the living room/kitchen/entry way from the balcony door.
This was taken from the front door and the living room and part of the kitchen is pictured. Just to the right off of this picture leads to the bedroom and bathroom.
This is a view of the kitchen from the dividing wall.
Another of one of the kitchen. It seems as though I was a little picture happy. My camera battery was dying so I began just snapping pictures.
Picture of the bedroom. The bathroom and bedroom are off of a small hallway from the living room and entry way.
Sorry these took so long! I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Summer!
On this Memorial Day weekend I would like to take some time to update you all on new aspects of my life.
New apartment with Sean. I will upload some pictures next week.
I am now employed. Beginning next weekend, I will be working at a Target in St. Louis Park as a cashier. I am excited for it. Boredom has set in, so working will be very, very nice.
I am now a college graduate. I don't have very many pictures on my camera from graduation, so hopefully my mom and Becky will get some uploaded so I can see them.
Hmmm... I think that is about all. I'm going to go donate/check out some books from the library.
Have a good day!

Broken computer.
Boris has been sent away to get repaired. It explains why there is a lack of updates recently.
New in my life:
-Sean and I were approved for the apartment
-move some stuff to Minnetonka this weekend
-last day of classes tomorrow
-no finals next week!
-graduation May 8
It's hard to believe I'm going to be a college graduate in 10 days.

Note to self.
Never go to HyVee when there is a massive sale, at 10:30 a.m., and when you are hungry. Mostly, don't go there when there is a HUGE sale.
I learned this the hard way.
Saturday morning. I wake up, wanting some breakfast. No milk for cereal or oatmeal. No bread for toast. I could have eaten saltine crackers, but decided against it. Instead... I went grocery shopping. As I was pulling out the of the parking lot, I heard an ad on the radio for a sale at HyVee. It discussed strawberries for $1.38 a package. Strawberries sounded fantastic at the time. So, instead of going to Wal-Mart like originally planned, I went to HyVee.
Boy, was that a bad idea. Not only was parking a problem, but even walking into the store had a few close calls. Driving vehicles not yielding for pedestrians = very unsafe for me walking. There was trouble getting a small cart for my few groceries. There were so many people. I dislike grocery shopping anyway, and with a million people randomly stopping in front of me, made me hate it even more. I got a few non-refrigerated items and then booked it out of dodge.
Next, I went to Wal-Mart to get milk and a yogurt. Also a bad idea. Wal-Mart was just as busy. Also, almost got hit by two cars. 'Twas lovely.
After a long 45 minutes of grocery shopping, I said, "This is enough," and needed to leave. When I got home, I looked over my very random purchases:
-strawberries
-dill pickle spears
-Wheat Thins
-Laughing Cow cheese
-yogurt (two flavors)
-milk
-canned corn
Good thing I won't be grocery shopping by myself for much longer. Desperately need some help/supervision.
Good night!

Embarassment.
Well... I am ashamed. I have not posted since December and I'm sorry!
I have been harassed by a few *ahem* people. They know who they are.
New in my life:
Job searching.
Graduating college in 31 days from tomorrow.
Moving to the Twin Cities.
Apartment hunting.
Did I mention I'm graduating? I'm almost in the "real" world.
I think I am going to go and watch Casablanca. Maybe I will fall asleep later during the movie than I did last night. Good night world, see your pretty face tomorrow!

Fall-ish weather.
It has already snowed a bit, but didn't last very long on the ground. The weather has gotten colder. I do not like this. I guess I shouldn't complain. I lived in this type of weather all 21 years of my life. That doesn't make me like it anymore, though.
I've been knitting coasters lately--well actually since I've been back at school. Usually once I finish one I give it away. Here's a picture of two that I've kept for me. I'm working on making more to have a complete set. I'm also working on a scarf that I'll post once it's done.

My friend Andy Jensen brought me a couple small pumpkins (gourds actually but that's besides the point...) and in spirit of Halloween and fall, here's a not-very-good picture.

Happy Monday!

At the zoo!
A couple weekends ago I went to visit Sean in the Cities. I had a lot of fun. We went to the Como Zoo and Conservatory Saturday afternoon and saw the movie The Informant that night. The movie was funny, I recommend it. Below are a few pictures from the weekend.
Baby giraffe with the male giraffe. So cute!
Female giraffe. I love giraffes!
Sean and I with the giraffes.
Big kitties sleeping. It reminded me of Captain sleeping all afternoon in the sun.
The Sunken Garden at the Como Conservatory. It was beautiful and smelled wonderful in there.
These are just a few of the pictures from that weekend. It was a lot of fun.

Collegian.
I'm sorry I haven't been taking any pictures. I was going to take some cute photos of Captain over the weekend while home, but sadly, I did not.
Alas, in last weeks Collegian, I wrote an article about H1N1 and prevention. You can read it here. The editor and I each have an article about it, and you have to scroll down to read mine, but it is there. In the paper edition of it, the story was on the front and above the fold. That spot is like the holy grail of newspapers.
Stay tuned for more Collegian articles. I going to be writing some opinion/editorial columns in the future. I'll keep everyone updated on that.
Happy Tuesday!

Monday, Monday!
Monday, Monday. (ba ba, ba ba ba ba, ba)
So good to me.
Enough of the Mamas and the Papas.
Since I didn't do a very good job last week of the five-pictures-a-day, I took a bunch of them at McCory Gardens and Arboretum in Brookings. My friend Andy Jensen and I went and took pictures yesterday. Enjoy!
I love hydrangeas.
I have no idea what type of flower this is, but it's beautiful nonetheless.
One of the very few photos I took that didn't have tight framing and was close to the subject. It's very strange for me to have something like this.
One of my favorites of the day.
I haven't decided how I feel about this one. I don't hate it, but I definitely don't love it.
Another favorite. I just now noticed the bug on the flower in the lower left corner... didn't see that before...
I absolutely LOVE this one. I love the shade of pink the flowers are.
This is a shot from underneath the flower. It is some sort of trumpet flower and the real name of it escapes me, but the flowers were really large. By large, I mean like hanging down about five or six inches. The whole plant was way taller than I am. It was cool.
Pansies.
Andy, taking a picture of black pearl ornamental peppers. I think that's what they were called?
Andy and I right before we left McCory.

Saturday.
This five-photos-a-day thing isn't working out so well. Mainly, because I forget to bring my camera with me. Here are some pictures that were taken at the OK Go concert and after.
It was dark and most of the pictures I took at the concert didn't turn out. Although this one isn't very good either, I like the silhouette of lead singer, Damian Kulash.
Picture I took of Cal and I. This pictures shows true friendship.
Rolling Rock bottle from Saturday night after the concert. Took me three tries to get this picture.
I don't have any more pictures that turned out very well. Sorry there's only three pictures, not five!

Monday.
Pictures taken on Monday.
Ignore the gross-looking calcium deposits and lime stains in this picture.
Waiting for the Safetysuit concert to begin.
Doug Brown, lead singer of Safetysuit!
Safetysuit!!
Doug Brown, again.
I was taking pictures right into the sun so there is a bit of a glare. In a perfect world, that wouldn't happen.
The concert was amazing!

I'm back... at SDSU!
Well I've been back for a while, but I am BACK at SDSU. It is very exciting.
I've been busy with Community Assistant training. It is sucking all of my time.
So, my blogging has suffered.
I will try to be better.
Sean says I should go on a photo tour of the SDSU campus and post the pictures here.
He also just said I should take five pictures every day for a month and post them here, use this blog as a way to showcase my photography journey.
Sounds like a challenge, but a good challenge. I think after the craziness of move-in weekend at SDSU calms down, I will take on the photography challenge.
Have a good night!

Vacay!
At 4 o'clock this afternoon, my mini summer vacation begins. Yay! I don't work at the Advance-Press and Solar Drive-In until Monday. Ahh.. breathing a sigh of relief.
Today the fun begins with my parents and I driving to Travis and Becky's in Winona. Then, tomorrow it shall be an joyous day spent with the fam at the Wisconsin Dells. I know I'm definitely looking forward to some much-needed fun in the sun.
Then, we drive home from the Dells tomorrow night. Friday morning, I quick write my story about Trav's garden, head to Brookings. On my way through Springfield, stop in the office and leave my story and photo there. Then, it's off to Brookings I go! I am so excited to see my friends. We'll spend Friday at the pool with Courtney and Landon and whoever else decides to show up. Friday night, go out with the boys--a.k.a. Cal and Eric, and then spend Saturday seeing everyone I want to see.
Sunday, is the church festival. I don't have any work related things to think about, well almost.
Happy Wednesday!

Life after college.
Sean told me to ask myself this question while trying to envision my life after college and my dream job. The question was, "If money was not an issue and you could do anything, what would you do?"
At first, I was speechless. I don't know what I want to do. I'm 21 years old, how am I supposed to know? I like to write. I like to design. I like to help people. I enjoy dealing with people, most days. I want to do something that matters. Most of all, I like writing and designing.
Any ideas?
